The International Folk Sports Federation (IVV) was established with the aim of having a wide-ranging sports organization in addition to competitive sports, which gives everyone, regardless of age or gender, the opportunity to spend their free time exercising and doing sports for their health.
To reach this goal, countries, associations and individuals have come together to provide everyone in the sport of their choice (walking, swimming, cycling, skiing) with activities and programs that can be carried out continuously at any time of the year.
The IVV is a federal form consisting of members (member countries), the operation, international rules, members and activities of which are available in German and English at www.ivv-web.org.
Its activities cover many parts of the world, where they provide opportunities for movement and sports with programs, organized tours and walks.
They organize IVV Olympics for the member countries of the world, but there are events in Europe, Asia, America, (Europiades, Asianpiads), they organize world championships, world walking days.
