The aims of the Komárom-Esztergom County Hiking Association according to the statutes are the following:
„To promote the development of a healthy lifestyle through organized hiking, thereby preserving health, protecting nature and environment, providing opportunities for sports, and providing the necessary conditions for all this.”
We have been doing this for more than 50 years – our pictures above are moments snatched from our activities, like the very first map of Gerecse 50, pictures of different walks, painting the signs in the forest etc.
One of my favorite terms is buffet style hiking.
Why is that?
In our free time we play sports, go hiking – as the feet are always at hand; we organize hiking programs, tours; we join the tours of partner organizations; we take care of the indicated network of hiking trails in the territory of our county; we promote the development of a nature and environmental approach, especially among young people.
